I was just looking through an old journal tonight and found some ideas for a song. I thought it was time to finish it up.
This is a travelling song. It's about those places you stop at in the middle of nowhere. No one knows you. No one from home knows where you are. You can almost disappear into the walls and escape your life for a few moments. That's how I felt the day I stepped into Peggy Sue's 50s Diner - an actual self-proclaimed historic pit stop between LA and Vegas.

Hey there Fran - I was checking out some of my youtube subscriptions, catching up on what other musicians are doing, and I stumbled across your blog. Well, I need to let you knwo that this is a STAGGERINGLY beautiful song. Sort of reminds me of some of Jackson Browne's more reflective/meditative pieces - or "Celluloid Heroes" by The Kinks. And that bridge is really wild - in a good way - with the chord changes on "wall," (good)"bye" and "ball." Plus, the singing is top-notch, and the "whoa-oh" part at the end is chill-worthy. A wondeful job - my kudos to you. Keep 'em coming.
